A staged TikTok of a woman breastfeeding a cat on a plane got millions of hits, but it appears to be from a Facebook “prank” page.

A well-known scene takes place in a four-part series on the alessiavaesenn account: According to the man on the other side of the aisle, a passenger caused a stir by allegedly breastfeeding a cat. A flight attendant interferes and an argument ensues that leads to a major revelation.

Together, the four videos have more than 40 million views on TikTok. “Is this an ad for first grade?” One commenter wrote on a TikTok. “I bet this flight is either to or from New York,” joked another.

Although the videos are fake, they appear to be an alleged one. to parody incident where a woman was caught breastfeeding a hairless cat on a Delta flight from Syracuse to Atlanta. A flight attendant who claims to have seen what happened posted an unconfirmed account on TikTok in early November and said the cat was screaming “for its life”.

While many commentators acknowledged that it was a fake or “re-enactment”, that didn’t stop people from asking for follow-up action. The TikToks quickly spread on Twitter wherever they looked Millions more views, first via a clickbait thread from the account BoredAtGym, titled “IM DYING LMAOOO WHITE WOMEN”.

The alessiavaesenn TikTok account only has six TikToks; the two more recent ones are from a bizarre hair transplant that “reveals” and the report confirms that these are “fake but still funny”. Most TikToks are labeled in Dutch.

As Rolling Stone‘s EJ Dickson points out that the woman in the video appears to be Anna Rothfuss, a creator who went viral on TikTok for doing gross food hacks and pranks. The cat series does not appear on Rothfuss’ account, but there is another current TikTok with a similar one Cabin recording.

writer Ryan Broderick sourced the original airplane video from a Facebook page called The Gooch, which posts videos of pranks and weird food hacks. On December 16, the account released the first airplane video with the disclaimer that “the videos and live videos on this site are for entertainment purposes only”. The gray-haired man who can be seen in the photos on the account resembles a man who plays a flight attendant in the airplane video, even though he is wearing a mask. The woman who plays the other flight attendant appears in a lot of Gooch content.

The Facebook page was created in December 2020 and has more than 98,000 followers.

Broderick, who reported on another Facebook network Chop food Content in May said hair transplant TikToks had the “unmistakable production quality of a Facebook content network,” including “porn lighting.”

What’s impressive is how the video jumped from Facebook, where it had a little over 1,000 shares (and a disclaimer) to TikTok, where it exploded but people were still skeptical about it Twitterwhere more people believed it was real.

There are several others staged Airplane videos on the site, as well as other videos with Rothfuss. We asked The Gooch for a comment.
