NYC CFB: Voter Guide now available for some primary elections scheduled for June 28th

The NYC Campaign Finance Board (CFB) announced on Thursday, June 2 that it has released the Official New York City Voter Guide for some of the June 2022 primary elections scheduled for Thursday, June 28. The guide is available online at and allows voters to look up candidates on their ballot. Early voting for some primaries begins Saturday, June 18, and is election day for some primaries Tuesday June 28th.

The guide provides profile information for candidates on the ballot for the following elected offices:

  • governor
  • Deputy Governor
  • State Assembly

The CFB also announced that primary elections will be held for those offices following a recent ruling by a New York state court requiring reconfiguration of districts for the US Congress and Senate on August 23, 2022. CFB officials said the does new electoral leaders not included Candidate profiles for local and party offices, which may appear on some voters’ ballots. They added that in a similar way no candidate profiles are available for elected offices without competitive primaries.

Board officials said voters could take the voter’s guide with them to vote using the “My Ballot Plan” tool. They can add candidate profiles to the tool and then email or print their candidate selection to take to the survey page. The voter guide is available in English, Spanish, Chinese, Korean and Bengali, according to board officials, who also said the guide meets accessibility standards for users with disabilities.

In addition to the candidate list, the Voter Guide provides New Yorkers with tools Learn more about the state legislature and other local offices, Research their voter registration status and get answers about their voting rights and eligibility. The Voter Guide is part of CFB’s NYC Votes initiative to increase turnout in the New York City election. The CFB creates an online voter guide for all NYC elections.
