A lot of people criticize women for enjoying and loving makeup, but Shehnaaz had the best take on it.

She spoke about how it helps her express herself and is an artistic escape for her, not a way to hide her own facial features: “mujhe form rakhna bohot pasand hai. Form mujhe turn card shark, it’s an art. (I love wearing makeup. Makeup distracts me, it’s an art.)”

On that note, Shehnaaz added that she doesn’t care how she looks — despite rocking some gorgeous makeup moments– just how she is on the inside: “I have buck teeth. I also have a beautiful heart. Who cares about smiles? Who takes care of the decoration?”

She added, “Bahar-bahar ki decoration ka kya fayda? But, andar ki decoration achhi honi chahiye. (What’s the point of adorning yourself on the outside? What’s on the inside should count.) And I’m a beautiful soul. I am a pure soul.”

We agree!

Shehnaaz is about focusing on the good results of fights, not the hardships

A beacon of positivityShehnaaz refused to fixate on it the difficult times she facesand wanted to talk about the happiness she is now having after getting through these difficult times.

Chalo Mehnat, Battle kaun abhi ginayega. Main itni wo nahi banna chahti ki ‘Maine yeh Battle kiya,’ kyunki sab card grove Battle. Sabne kiya hai. But fight choro, past choro, Let’s talk about the present! (Who wants to list their hard work and struggles? I don’t want to be the guy who says, “I’ve struggled so much” because everyone struggles. But forget the struggles, forget the past, let’s talk about the present!) Me am happy. I am God’s child,” she said.

These are the life-affirming thoughts we need in our lives!

While it’s never good to be surrounded only by yes men, it’s also exhausting to be surrounded by people who constantly nag and criticize. Shehnaaz clearly believes in boosting one’s self-esteem because she loves to surround herself with people who can see and appreciate the good in her

Mujhe achchha lagta hai meri koi tareef kare. Aur jo meri tareef karta hai, main unke saath baithti hoon. Jo meri taref nahi card, I am not sitting with them. (I like it when people praise me. And I spend time with people who praise me. I don’t support those who don’t praise me.)” is her mantra.

As childish as that sounds, it makes sense, right?

Shehnaaz is here for that girl power!

Shehnaaz is about embracing the power within her and doesn’t want the world to see her as weak: “I’m not a delicate baby. i am not soft I am a strong woman.”

That’s her vibe to the point that she doesn’t want to do films where women aren’t the main focus of the story: “Mujhe koi bhi Movie mile lekin female oriented Mile, Kyunki Women sabs strong Hoti Hain. meri Movie wahi maanungi jisme main akele hongi. (Whatever movie I get, it should be female-centric because women are the strongest. I’ll only feel like it’s my movie when I’m alone in it.)”

And so it is!

Shehnaaz is a big advocate of self-love and being kind to yourself

Reminding us all to love and accept ourselves, Shehnaaz repeated the geet within her: “I think main sabse zyada pyaar apne aap ko hello karti hoon. I’m the best, I love myself and I think hum subko apne aap ko pehle pyaar karna chahiye. i love me sabse zyada in this world. (I think I love myself the most, I’m the best, I love myself, and I think we should all love ourselves first. I love myself the most in this world.)

She added that her ability to love herself and others around her creates a ring of positive light around her: “And I love myself because I love everyone around me. The people around me feel safe with me.”

Most of us could benefit a lot from incorporating some of Shehnaaz’s sweet and happy thoughts into our lives, right?
