Netflix did it again! Squid game continues to attract many more viewers with its mysterious and suspenseful plot and has been on everyone’s lips since its release on September 17, 2021. The Korean series made it to No. 1 in South Korea and No. 2 in the world, proving its impressive global presence.

Squid game follows Seong Gi Hun, played by Lee Jung Jae, as he tries to escape an unhappy life of mounting debt by participating in a puzzling game of life and death. The winner of the games will receive prize money of 45.6 billion Korean won, or approximately 38.5 million US dollars.

How many episodes are there? Squid game?

Squid game has a total of 9 episodes. Each episode is approximately 50 to 60 minutes of airtime, with the exception of episode 8 which is approximately 32 minutes. If you plan to watch the series, you will need to allow at least 8 hours to be able to finish watching Squid game in just one session.

Episode 4: Stay with the team
Since alliances are formed among the players, no one is safe in the dormitory after the lights are turned off. The third game challenges Gi Hun’s team to think strategically.

Episode 5: A fair world

Gi Hun and his team take turns keeping watch throughout the night. The masked men get into trouble with their co-conspirators.

Episode 6: Gganbu
The players pair up for the fourth game. Gi Hun struggles with a moral dilemma, Sang Woo chooses self-preservation, and Sae Byeok tells her untold story.

Episode 7: VIPs
The Masked Leader welcomes VIP guests to the facility to see the show in the front row. In the fifth game, some players crack under pressure.

Episode 8: Front man
Before the final round, the finalists are very mistrustful and disgusted. Jun Ho sets out to uncover the game’s dirty secrets.

Episode 9: A lucky day
The final round is another gruesome trial – but this time it just depends on one player how it ends. The creator of the game steps out of the shadows.
