Professor Jasper Tempest played by Ben Miller, (Bridgeton, Johnny English, death in paradise) is Professor of Criminology at the University of Cambridge. He is obsessed with cleanliness, structure and order, but his genius at solving crimes means he must constantly get his hands dirty to help the police solve their toughest cases. Frances de la Tour (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, The history boys) plays Jasper’s colorful but overbearing mother, Adelaide.
